Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply between you, the parent or guardian booking services ("you", "the Client"), and The Study Studio, the provider of those services ("we", "us", "our"). Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking any services with us.

By booking a session, package, or programme with The Study Studio, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. ABOUT US

The Study Studio is operated by THE STUDY STUDIO LLP, trading as The Study Studio, based in London, United Kingdom. You can contact us at hello@thestudystudio.co.uk.

2. OUR SERVICES

2.1 The Study Studio provides premium tutoring and educational support services for children, including one-to-one sessions, paired sessions, holiday ateliers, and French immersion sessions.

2.2 Services are delivered at 91 Peterborough Rd, London SW6 3BU or as otherwise agreed in writing.

2.3 All sessions are delivered by qualified tutors with appropriate experience and expertise. Details of our tutors are available on the Website.

3. BOOKING

3.1 To book a service, you must complete our intake form and receive a confirmation from us by email. A booking is only confirmed once you have received written confirmation from The Study Studio.

3.2 By completing the intake form and confirming a booking, you confirm that:

a. you are the parent or legal guardian of the child for whom services are being booked;

b. all information provided in the intake form is accurate and complete, including any details about the child's learning needs, allergies, food restrictions, and any relevant medical information;

c. you have the authority to agree to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the child.

3.3 We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.

4. FEES AND PAYMENT

4.1 Our current fees are set out on the Website and may be updated from time to time. The fees applicable to your booking will be confirmed in writing at the time of booking.

4.2 Payment is processed through Tutor Cruncher, our booking and payment management platform. You will receive an invoice via Tutor Cruncher and payment can be made by bank transfer as confirmed at the time of booking.

4.3 Full payment is required before services commence, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4.4 Early bird pricing is available on specific programmes where indicated. Early bird rates apply only to bookings made and paid for before the stated deadline.

5. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

5.1 Cancellation of a full package

If you wish to cancel a full package booking, you must notify us in writing by email at hello@thestudystudio.co.uk. The following terms apply:

a. Cancellations made 14 or more days before the start date of the package will receive a full refund.

b. Cancellations made fewer than 14 days before the start date of the package are non-refundable.

5.2 Cancellation of individual sessions

If you need to cancel an individual session within a package, you must notify us at least 2 weeks before the scheduled date of that session. In this case, a credit to the value of that session will be applied to your account and can be used toward a future session.

Sessions cancelled with less than 2 weeks' notice are non-refundable and no credit will be applied.

5.3 Cancellation by The Study Studio

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a session, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer either a replacement session or a full credit to your account.

6. PHOTO AND MEDIA CONSENT

6.1 From time to time, The Study Studio may take photographs or videos during sessions or events for use on our Website, social media, or promotional materials.

6.2 We will not photograph or record your child without your prior written consent. Consent will be requested as part of the booking process.

6.3 You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at hello@thestudystudio.co.uk. Withdrawal of consent will not affect any photographs or content already published prior to your withdrawal.

7. INSURANCE AND CHILD SAFETY

7.1 The Study Studio holds appropriate public liability insurance for the services we provide.

7.2 We kindly ask that parents and guardians provide details of any relevant insurance cover for their child, including personal accident insurance, where applicable, prior to the start of any programme.

7.3 The safety and wellbeing of every child in our care is our highest priority. Our tutors follow safeguarding best practices at all times.

8. ALLERGIES AND FOOD RESTRICTIONS

8.1 If your child has any food allergies, dietary requirements, or other health-related restrictions, you must inform us in writing via the intake form before services commence.

8.2 We will take reasonable steps to accommodate declared allergies and dietary requirements, but we cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free environment.

8.3 The Study Studio accepts no liability for allergic reactions arising from information that was not disclosed to us at the time of booking.

9. PARENT AND GUARDIAN RESPONSIBILITIES

9.1 You are responsible for ensuring that your child is collected promptly at the end of each session. Late collection may incur additional charges.

9.2 You agree to inform us promptly of any changes to your child's health, learning needs, or any other relevant circumstances that may affect the delivery of our services.

9.3 You agree to treat our tutors and staff with respect. We reserve the right to terminate services without refund in the event of abusive, threatening, or disruptive behaviour by the client or their child.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

10.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of income, or loss of opportunity arising from the provision of our services.

10.3 Our total liability to you in connection with any booking shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for that booking.

11. DATA PROTECTION

11.1 We collect and process personal data about you and your child in order to provide our services. This includes information submitted via the intake form.

11.2 We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). Please refer to our Privacy Policy at www.thestudystudio.co.uk for full details of how we collect, use, and protect your data.

12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

12.1 We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on the Website and will apply to bookings made after the date of update.

12.2 We recommend that you review these Terms and Conditions before each booking.

13. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms and Conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts.
