Two weeks, two adventures in French literacy. From discovering a great book to writing and illustrating an original story, our summer workshops blend serious learning with plenty of fun.
Week 1: Reading Week
From 6th to 10th July

A carefully chosen book will be provided to your child, based on their tastes and aptitudes.
Thorough analysis of the characteristics and the construction of a story.
Reading fluency activities.
Lexical investigations and discussions about vocabulary choices.
Games and recreational activities.
FINAL FEAST ! On the last Friday, children will be invited to come between 11AM and 2PM for a homemade merry lunch (with bookclub, conversations, games and art).

Week 2: Writing Week
From 13th to 17th July

Each child will be creating, writing and illustrating their own story*. (*collaborative story for younger students).
Thorough analysis of the characteristics and the construction of a story.
Lexical, grammatical and spelling exercises.
Introduction to the notion of medieval literary ornamentation for a future illustration of the story.
Games and recreational activities.
FINAL FEAST ! On the last Friday, children will be invited to come between 11AM and 2PM for a homemade merry lunch (with presentation, reading and delivery of the Story Collection, games and art).
